With CST, restrictions in the bones and fascial tissue of the cranium and along the spine are released, as well as other parts of the body, to allow a free flow of cerebrospinal fluid. This encourages healthier function in the central nervous system (CNS) and throughout the entire body. It's been said that when the CNS is happy, everything is happy!
CST is a gentle therapy performed with a light touch. One of the most appealing aspects of CST is its gentle nature, which makes it suitable for people of all ages. CST can be adapted to meet your unique needs, from infants to the elderly. Craniosacral therapy is used to address various issues, including headaches, neck pain, migraines, fibromyalgia, and stress-related problems, along with many others.
CST can be a stand-alone session, or incorporated into a massage session after your initial CST consultation.
What to wear?
Unlike other therapies, you typically remain fully clothed during a Craniosacral therapy session. Wear loose, comfortable clothing to ensure you can relax and move freely on the treatment table.

The History of Craniosacral Therapy -
In 1978 Dr. Upledger, an osteopathic physician, developed a hypothesis of the craniosacral dura mater and cerebrospinal fluid being integrated into a comprehensive model of the craniosacral system, which he termed the "PressureStat Model". The results of his scientific studies at MSU helped explain the function of the craniosacral system and its use in evaluating and treating poorly understood malfunctions of the brain and spinal cord. Dr. Upledger went on to develop the manual therapy that he called "Craniosacral Therapy," as well as other complementary disciplines that are now taught worldwide to healthcare professionals. To this day, the PressureStat Model has stood the test of time.
